ES: un proyecto basado en el lenguaje que utilizamos como sociedad para tratar y hablar de sobrevivientes de violación y violencia sexual. esta obra comenzó en el 2016, afectada por la manera en la que las noticias y la sociedad hablaban de “la manada”, queria crear una pieza que juntaran lo cotidiano con la violación.
la tela de nuestra sociedad está construida con lenguaje, y en una sociedad patriarcal el lenguaje evoluciona de tal manera que eventos transgresores terminan siempre culpando a la víctima, no los perpetradores.
utilizando una paleta reducida y ropa intima, en una instalación interactiva, el observador confronta la incomodidad del tema, mientras toca y lee estas frases repetidas por miles de personas a través de las décadas para culpar a alguien por lo que le pasó.
EN: a project based on the language used by society to treat and talk about survivors of rape and sexual assault. this piece began in 2016, afected by the wya teh news and scoiety portrayed the story of “la manada”, i wanted to create something that brough together the mundane with rape.
he fabric of our society is built on language, and in this patriarchal society, language has evolved in such a way to make horrible events be blamed on the victims, instead of their predators.
in a interactive installation, and with the use of a minimal palette and underwear garments, the artist makes us confront the subject of rape, and assault, all while touching and reading the words that have been repeated by thousands of people for hundreds of years to blame a person for what has happened to them.
